Dear Members, Officers, and Professional Members:
Congratulations to each and every one of you for making this year the very best the Carmel Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America has ever had.
Over the past year, our Chapter has proven time and time again to be an organization that we can be very proud of.
In June 1999, your newly elected officer team met to discuss the path our Chapter would take in the upcoming year. The officer team considered the
past activities and the future plans of our Chapter when making these decisions. We planned to focus this year's efforts to achieve four specific goals which are: Increase Fundraising; By increasing fundraising
revenue, we will provide $125 discount for each member, Development of First Year Members; The development of the first year members is necessary to
improve their membership involvement and to allow for them to take advantage of the opportunities of FBLA, Continue Service and Exposure of FBLA; By continuing
to provide school and community service, we can positively impact our surroundings thus providing exposure to our organization, and Charter Chapters of FBLA; In order to expand FBLA into surrounding communities our Chapter will take all the steps necessary to charter 3 new FBLA chapters.
Our efforts to improve our community have been met with much success. This year we undertook many worthwhile activities. These includes a community
wide American Enterprise Project, a Partnership with Business Project, and a Community Service Project consisting of a book. The profits from the book
will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charity.
Starting in August, our Chapter undertook an aggressive campaign to contact schools without a Chapter of FBLA. Our Chapter contacted over 30
schools in the lower New York area, making presentations to those who took interest.
We have successfully charted MS 61, Bronx High School of Science, Pawling High School, and Minneola High School.
Records were set this year for member attendance at chapter meetings, events, and activities. Members remained enthusiastic about FBLA and our activities throughout the entire year. Members developed their various skills through interaction with the local business community. All the members contributed to our Chapter's growth and development over the year.
With teamwork, cooperation, and dedication, our chapter truly "Chart a course through the millennium". Thank you for all your help and
support in making this year a very successful one.
Sincerely yours,
Nao Valentino, President
